Job summary

Slalom is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, evaluate, and deploy production-grade AI systems for clients. You’ll contribute to solution architecture, own implementation workstreams, and communicate decisions and progress to stakeholders.

You will work hands-on with major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) while collaborating with Responsible AI specialists. This role requires onsite presence within commuting distance of Slalom offices.

Qualifications

• Experience building production AI/ML systems for enterprise clients.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-enabled applications and systems, including LLM-powered apps and retrieval-augmented solutions.
• Own implementation workstreams from design through delivery, including backlog refinement and deployment.
• Collaborate with clients to translate inputs into deployable AI solutions.
• Mentor peers on AI engineering practices and production delivery patterns.
• Stay current on AI engineering patterns, hyperscaler capabilities, and data platform features.
