Job summary

SchoolsFirst FCU is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and deploy AI-enabled workflows and automation solutions. The role focuses on translating business needs into scalable technical capabilities, building integrations, and ensuring governance and security.

You’ll contribute to the enterprise AI roadmap, lead pilots, and support production deployments. Candidates should have extensive AI/automation experience, strong programming skills, and familiarity with cloud AI services.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of relevant AI/automation experience.
Experience with Azure AI Services, OpenAI, and RPA platforms.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, APIs, and cloud architectures.
Strong knowledge of security and governance for AI applications.

Responsibilities

Designs, develops and supports AI-enabled workflows and solutions, automation and agentic solutions by translating business requirements into scalable technical capabilities.
Evaluates and builds proofs of concept for AI-enabled workflows and automation, translating business requirements into scalable capabilities.
Develops production-ready code, configurations and technical documentation while applying engineering practices.
Mentors junior staff and promotes engineering best practices that improve solution quality and delivery.
Ensures secure AI, governance, monitoring, and operational support across projects.
