Job summary

interface.ai in San Francisco seeks an experienced software engineer to own and evolve an AI-powered internal talent acquisition platform. You will drive sourcing, screening, and interviewing pipelines using LLMs and agentic workflows, interfacing with the ATS and scheduling tools.

You will work directly with the CEO and talent team, shipping end-to-end solutions in a fast-growing startup. In-office collaboration five days a week is expected, with equity and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with production systems you built and owned
• Strong applied AI/LLM engineering: built on top of LLMs, prompt engineering, evals, agentic architectures
• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python
• Experience automating real workflows end-to-end
• Degree in Computer Science or related field from a top-tier program
• Self-directed and decisive: identify problems, propose solutions, close loops without reminders
• In SF, committed to 5 days/week — in-office collaboration

Responsibilities

• Own and accelerate internal AI talent acquisition platform from v1 to fully automated
• Build automated pipelines for sourcing, resume screening, and candidate evaluation using LLMs
• Design and ship AI-conducted interviews and structured screening with evaluation logic
• Integrate with recruiting stack (ATS, scheduling, communication tools) for minimal human touch
• Own technical decisions end-to-end: architecture, data models, prompt/eval design, performance
• Collaborate directly with CEO and talent team daily
