Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and operate the platform that enables agentic AI workflows across our retail ecosystem. You will build flagship agentic products on Azure and integrate them with inventory and merchandising systems.

The role is hands-on and senior IC, emphasizing architecture, reliability, and security. Hybrid work arrangement includes in-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with collaboration across a national retail footprint.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of software engineering experience with increasing scope and ownership.
• Deep proficiency in at least one backend language (C#/.NET, Java, Node.js/TypeScript, or Python).
• Service-based/microservice architectures and RESTful API design.
• Cloud-based serverless microservices in production (Azure Functions, Container Apps).
• Experience delivering agentic solutions in production; strong testing and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve the shared agentic framework and platform components.
• Design, build, and operate production agentic solutions end to end.
• Establish evaluation, observability, and operations; own telemetry and costly optimizations.
• Apply disciplined engineering practices; mentor peers and participate in agile ceremonies.
• Evaluate new agent tooling and maintain CI/CD, IaC, and security for AI workloads.
