Backstory, the AI answers platform for sales teams, seeks a Senior Manager of Demand Generation in the United States. You will own how buyers find us and convert into pipeline, managing paid media, agency partners, web conversion, and AI-driven discovery.

Collaborate with the SVP of Marketing to hit an enterprise pipeline target; build automated AI campaigns, SEO for AI engines, and lifecycle nurture from MQL to SQL. A senior marketer comfortable with modern tools is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Demand Generation / Growth Marketing at a high-growth B2B SaaS or enterprise AI startup.
• Proven track record of testing and integrating AI software into campaign operations.
• Track record of owning a qualified enterprise pipeline number and managing paid digital budgets end-to-end.
• Strong experience managing paid performance, CRO, and automated email nurture streams.
• Fluency in CAC, payback, multi-touch attribution, and CRM/MAP reporting.
• Ability to work with Product Marketing, Creative Directors, and Sales to scale pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Own paid acquisition and performance marketing across paid search, paid social, display, and digital ABM.
• Manage performance marketing agency partners and drive efficient campaign performance.
• Lead SEO and AI-driven discovery across search engines and AI answer engines.
• Own Backstory’s Share of Model strategy to increase brand visibility and recommendations.
• Build AI-powered campaign automation to scale enrichment, research, and execution.
• Own web performance and CRO to increase qualified conversions and pipeline.
• Lead lifecycle nurture and funnel optimization from MQL to SQL to Opportunity.
• Co-own integrated campaign strategy with the SVP of Marketing and measure impact via multi-touch attribution.
• Drive performance creative strategy with agencies to optimize assets for CTR and pipeline contribution.
