Job summary

Camunda is hiring for a fully remote role as a Forward Deployed Engineer to bring ProcessOS into production for enterprise customers. You will own deployment journeys, from initial process files to working, improving production systems, and hand off a functioning capability to customer teams.

You will work end-to-end across Java services and React interfaces, collaborating with a global team to measure, improve, and scale performance and fault tolerance in distributed environments.

Qualifications

• Enterprise production experience: shipped in a large org and kept it running.
• Technical depth: debug integrations, custom agents, Camunda cluster, explain BPMN to engineers/leads.
• Stakeholder communication: work across engineering, architecture and business leadership with precision.
• Practical AI experience: used AI in production, context management, prompt engineering, agent testing.
• Comfort with ambiguity: make sound calls without a playbook and document learnings.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and prove. Own journey from first process file to production workflow with measurable gains.
• Drive organizational adoption across technical and business stakeholders.
• Work at depth technically: configure Camunda clusters, debug integrations, build custom agents.
• Build the playbook: document good practices and speed up future deployments.
• Feed the product: contribute custom agents and codify integration patterns.
• Hand off deliberately: enable customer teams to operate and improve independently.
