Job summary

EY is seeking Senior Forward Deployed Engineers to join the Advanced Forward Engineering team within EY’s Office of the CTO. You will design, build, and deliver AI-native systems embedded with regulated client environments such as tax, finance, and risk, owning end-to-end delivery from framing to sustainment.

This role blends hands-on coding with solution shaping, collaborating with platform, architecture, security, and governance partners to ensure deployable, auditable, and trusted production

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering complex software in enterprise or regulated settings.
• Experience in customer-facing or consulting engineering roles.
• Hands-on with distributed systems, APIs, integrations, or data-heavy apps.
• Practical experience with modern AI stacks (LLMs, agentic workflows).
• Proven track record owning delivery in real-world conditions.
• Production-grade code under compliance, performance, and reliability constraints.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, security, governance)

Responsibilities

• Embed with client teams to frame problems and define delivery paths under regulatory constraints.
• Own end-to-end delivery from shaping to deployment and early sustainment.
• Implement and manage AI-enabled workflows and orchestration using platform capabilities.
• Write production-grade code (LangGraph, Python) aligned with enterprise standards.
• Make real-time tradeoffs balancing functionality, safety, cost, and timeline.
• Ensure solutions meet security, AI integrity, and FinOps requirements.
• Capture learnings and feedback to improve platform evolution.
• Collaborate with integration, platform, and architecture teams to reduce rework.
