Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior AI Data & Analytics Engineer II for a remote position in the United States. You will define strategy for the data/AI foundation, architect marketing data infrastructure, and design semantic layers to support self-serve BI and analytics.

You will translate ambiguous questions into scalable solutions, lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor teammates, and push AI adoption to improve workflows across teams. 8+ years in data/AI engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or AI engineering with hands-on data engineering expertise.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL, with strong data modeling and dbt experience.
• Deep knowledge of data warehouse and lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT, and the modern data stack, including Databricks or similar.
• Experience building semantic layers and structured documentation for AI workflows.
• Familiarity with agentic coding tools and ownership of AI-generated outputs.
• Proven track record leading complex, cross-team data initiatives with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience supporting Marketing, Sales, or Product teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for the data and AI foundation.
• Architect and manage marketing data infrastructure, including ETL/ELT pipelines and core data models.
• Design semantic layers and documentation to support self-serve BI and analytics while ensuring data integrity.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into clear requirements and scalable solutions.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives, manage risks, and ensure data quality and reliability.
• Serve as the senior technical lead, improve engineering quality, and mentor team members.
• Drive strategic use of AI to solve high-impact problems and automate workflows across teams.
