Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI Automation to join a leader in the Information Technology space. This remote role focuses on building and operationalizing AI-driven automation to improve internal teams' workflows and decision making, with emphasis on production readiness and measurable quality.

You will partner with data engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to design trustworthy systems, define architecture and operating standards, and move AI prototypes into reliable

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, particularly with LLM-backed applications.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience in production data models.
• Expertise in prompting, tool use, and multi-step workflows for AI systems.
• Experience integrating AI systems with business-critical applications.
• Strong judgment in evaluation methodologies and safety controls for AI deployment.
• Solid fundamentals in production engineering practices including CI/CD and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of AI agents and automation workflows for internal teams.
• Translate complex business processes into reliable software solutions.
• Design integrations between AI agents and existing systems using MCP.
• Define architecture and operating standards for production AI systems.
• Establish evaluation strategies and quality baselines for deployment decisions.
