Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Lead Agilist for a remote contract role to coach Agile squads and promote Scrum practices. The role will facilitate events, guide product owners, manage backlog, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

W2 consultants receive a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: $75.00–$85.00/hr. w2

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business experience and Scrum experience.
• 23+ years?
• 3+ years of Scrum experience.
• Strong oral and written communication with mentoring and facilitation.
• Proven ability to remove impediments outside of the team.
• Coaching skills with ability to convey complex concepts.
• Conflict resolution and mediation capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and high-performing teams.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile practices including Kanban, XP, and Mob programming.
• Ability to use empirical data and metrics to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Coach Agile Squads on agile values, principles, and practices.
• Facilitate Scrum events and ensure value from Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Backlog Refinement.
• Guide Product Owners and Development Teams in backlog management and clarity of outcomes.
• Promote self-organization, continuous improvement, cross-functionality, and software craftsmanship.
• Identify and help remove impediments, escalating when necessary.
• Shield teams from external interference to maintain productivity.
• Foster a safe, trusting environment for open discussion and problem solving.
• Leverage metrics and feedback loops for inspect-and-adapt improvements.
• Apply DevOps, pipeline automation, and testing practices to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with peers and the Agile Center to improve team effectiveness.
• Model servant leadership and support growth of team members and stakeholders.
• Ensure risk identification, management, and reporting aligned with policies.
