Custom Software Systems, Inc. (CSS) seeks an experienced Senior Agile Coach to advance Agile maturity within the IT Division's Business and Technology Modernization program.

You will assess teams, tailor coaching, and guide agile teams toward high performance, partnering with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Program Managers to drive sustainable change. The role requires deep coaching expertise, change management skills, and a strong track record in delivering measurable improvements in Agile

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of relevant experience in Agile coaching.
• 7+ years hands-on coaching Agile teams across maturity levels.
• Experience leading Agile processes in large/complex programs.
• Ability to address organizational resistance and improve Agile maturity.
• Experience with established playbooks, government or regulated contexts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess team maturity and tailor coaching plans for progressive capability building.
• Coach Scrum/ScrumBan/Kanban events, artifacts, and roles beyond mechanics.
• Navigate resistance and drive adoption of new Agile ways of working.
• Establish new Agile teams and provide ongoing coaching to stakeholders.
• Evaluate programs and recommend training modifications as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to close knowledge gaps and improve effectiveness.
