Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design tooling, fixtures, and GSE for lunar vehicle production. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop new build processes and tooling concepts, supporting demonstrators and prototype hardware through fabrication and testing.

You will drive DFx, perform producibility assessments, and maintain engineering documentation to ensure safe, reliable production and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, tooling design, or GSE design, preferably in aerospace.
• Proficient with 3D CAD tools, GD&T, tolerances, and design for manufacturability/assembly.
• Experience supporting production operations and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling, fixtures, handling equipment, and GSE for efficient manufacturing, assembly, and test of flight hardware.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, technicians, quality, and operations to develop new or revised build processes and tooling concepts.
• Support builds of engineering demonstrators and prototype hardware with hands-on fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Develop and manage tooling/GSE requirements to enable rapid design, fabrication, deployment, and iteration.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation (CAD models, drawings, specs, procedures).
• Ensure tooling fabrication, validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for lunar vehicle hardware.
