Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Kent, WA is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to design tooling, fixtures, and Ground Support Equipment for lunar vehicle production. Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of manufacturing engineering, tooling design, GSE design, or hardware development – aerospace preferred.
• Experience designing tooling, fixtures, handling equipment, or GSE for mechanical assemblies.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools, GD&T, design for manufacturability/assembly, and controlled documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling, fixtures, and GSE for efficient flight hardware manufacturing, with modularity and rapid deployment.
• Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, technicians, quality, and operations to develop tooling concepts.
• Plan builds of engineering demonstrators, test articles, and prototype hardware with hands-on fabrication and testing support.
• Drive DFX, producibility assessments, and roadmaps to close manufacturing gaps.
• Develop, release, and maintain engineering documentation and support tooling production implementation.
