Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to design tooling, fixtures, and Ground Support Equipment supporting aerospace hardware manufacturing. You will work with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, technicians, quality, and operations to improve build processes, tooling concepts, and production readiness.

The role emphasizes DFX, producibility assessments, and rapid iteration of tooling and GSE while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline; aerospace preferred.
• 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, tooling or GSE design in regulated environments.
• Experience designing tooling, fixtures, GSE for mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling, fixtures, handling equipment, and GSE for efficient manufacturing, assembly, and test of flight hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop build processes and tooling concepts.
• Plan and support builds of engineering demonstrators, test articles, and prototype hardware.
• Apply DFX principles, perform producibility assessments, and develop roadmaps.
• Define and refine tooling and GSE requirements for rapid design and deployment.
• Develop, release, and maintain engineering documentation and CAD artifacts.
• Support tooling fabrication, validation, and continuous improvement.
