Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, ABET accredited.
• 5+ years of relevant experience as a Tool Engineer Manager, Supervisor, or Team Lead in a highly-regulated, safety-focused manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Designs and supports airplane manufacturing tools (e.g., access equipment, structures, test equipment, jigs, drill equipment).
• Develops designs including concept, analysis of systems, and tool definition with compliance to processes.
• Identifies and implements advanced technologies to improve manufacturing processes.
• Resolves fabrication issues using engineering principles.
• Conducts trade and cost studies and ensures parts meet manufacturing plans.
• Provides technical leadership to projects requiring tool engineering competencies.
• Drives process improvements and technology development for better customer service.
• Interfacing across programs and organizations within scope of assignment.
• Creates instructions and media for fabrication of tooling and layouts.
