Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of relevant Tool Engineer Manager/Supervisor/Team Lead experience.
• Experience in highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering principles to design and support airplane manufacturing tools.
• Develops designs including concept, analysis of systems, and tooling definitions.
• Identifies and implements advanced technologies to improve manufacturing.
• Resolves concerns during fabrication using stress analysis and related methods.
• Conducts trade and cost studies across tool families.
• Provides technical leadership to projects requiring tool engineering competencies.
• Leads process improvement and technology development to enhance customer service.
• Interfaces across programs and levels within the scope of assignment.
• Creates detailed instructions and media for fabrication of tooling.
• Produces tool layouts and oversees fabrication and verification.
• Acts as liaison for producibility and measurement services.
• Monitors quality via SPC and other verification methods.
