Job summary

Boeing's Spirit AeroSystems division is seeking a Tool Engineer to design and support tooling for aerostructure manufacturing. You will develop layouts, models, and tooling definitions while ensuring process compliance and manufacturability improvements.

Required: ABET-accredited BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or a MS with 2–4 years’ experience; 3+ years in related roles. CAD experience (CATIA V5/V6, NX, 3DX) and SAP preferred. Union-represented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field (ABET‑accredited) or Master’s with 2–4 years’ experience.
• 3+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering principles to design and support tooling for airplane manufacturing.
• Creates tool layouts and computer‑generated models for tooling deliverables.
• Leads manufacturability improvements and ensures compliance with processes and procedures.
• Interfaces with production, engineering, and external customers to optimize tooling.
