Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Principal Structures Engineer to join the Cold Section Engineering team in West Palm Beach, Florida. You will provide technical leadership for production support, structural analysis, producibility improvements, quality issue resolution, supplier transitions, and Engineering Changes.

You will support cold-section hardware across military and commercial engine programs while collaborating closely with IPTs, CIPTs, Production, Quality, and customer teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant engineering experience, or an Advanced degree with 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience performing structural analysis using ANSYS or equivalent programs.

Responsabilités

• Execute and oversee structural analyses for Fan, LPC, HPC components and GTF/LPC IBRs using hand calculations, 2D/3D finite element modeling, and approved tools.
• Lead redesign and producibility improvement activities for cold-section hardware; support quality initiatives and supplier transitions.
• Coach and review work of less-experienced engineers to maintain technical quality.
• Represent engineering on cross-functional teams; drive root-cause investigations and technical resolutions.
• Document analyses and present results to IPTs, CIPTs, management, customers and stakeholders.
