Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT seeks an experienced engineer to lead corrective actions for engine-related issues and support overhaul operations. You will coordinate with MDE for manuals, interface with Airbus, and resolve hardware investigations and quality notices.

Requirements include a mechanical or aerospace degree and 5+ years of engineering experience, with U.S. citizenship required for access to sensitive systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of Engineering experience or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement corrective action for engine related in-service events and hardware issues identified during overhaul.
• Support MROs to resolve work-stops during teardown and reassembly of engines.
• Support Airlines to resolve Aircrafts on the Ground (AOGs) and coordinate resolution of service issues.
• Initiate technical data development of documentation for engine/module piece part inspection and for Engine Manuals (EM) and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM).
• Coordinate with the technical publication organization (MDE) and provide direction for all technical publications’ issues related to their hardware.
• Interface with Airbus by providing design, operation, maintenance, and customer service data.
• Coordinate resolution on hardware investigations (CPRs – Customer Part Returns)
• Coordinate resolution on Quality Notifications (QNs)
