RIMEPRO INC in California seeks an experienced Aerospace Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance across manufacturing and engineering. You will ensure AS9100 and NADCAP compliance, drive continuous improvement, and act as a liaison among Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing to uphold strict aerospace standards.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, metallurgy knowledge, and proficiency in quality tools such as RCA, PFMEA, SPC, and FAI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of quality engineering experience in aerospace/defense or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems and aerospace quality requirements.
• Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection.
• Root-cause analysis, corrective action, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Understanding of GD&T, drawings, specs, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with SPC, capability studies, measurement systems, and statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, PPAP/APQP concepts, or similar tools.
• Excellent communication, organizational and project-management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally across Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain and Quality.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality plans, procedures, and inspection strategies for aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Lead investigations of internal and customer quality issues using structured root-cause and corrective-action methodologies.
• Drive RCA, CAPA, 8D and nonconformance resolution activities.
• Support and lead FAI/AS9102 First Article Inspections and ensure documentation and compliance.
• Develop PFMEA and Control Plans and maintain related records.
• Apply SPC and other data-driven methods to monitor and improve processes.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and reduce scrap, rework and escapes.
• Support supplier quality activities including supplier corrective actions and audits.
• Participate in internal, customer, and third-party quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer requirements, and aerospace regulations.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to improve process capability and product quality.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Quality Engineers and Inspectors.
• Review drawings, specs, POs and customer requirements to establish quality controls.
• Support NPI and production-readiness activities.
• Lead continuous improvement via Lean, Six Sigma and related methods.
• Interface with customers and suppliers on quality matters.
• Maintain quality records, metrics and documentation.
