Job summary

ST Engineering MRAS is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality functions for aerospace programs. You will act as the program contact for inspectors and ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 and Nadcap, eliminating defects through RCCA methods.

Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential for cross-functional teamwork. Responsibilities include handling nonconformances, supporting team meetings, and driving corrective actions while training others as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in appropriate science, engineering, or engineering technology field with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or in a production quality role.
• Or High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years in a manufacturing or in a production quality role.
• This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization.

Responsibilities

• Manages all Quality Engineering functions for assigned program(s) or area(s) with some guidance.
• Acts as the point of contact for their program to inspectors.
• Has a general understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001 and/or Nadcap requirements.
• Eliminates process variation and product defects through creative solutions.
• Works root cause, corrective action with some guidance using established RCCA tools (PFMEA, DMAIC, 5 WHYs, 8D, etc.).
• Supports regularly scheduled team meetings including Corrective Action Boards, Quality Engagement Council, etc.
• Processes all nonconformances and workflows in a timely manner.
• Takes on training opportunities as they arise.
• Solicits weekly prioritization of tasks and deliverables that align with business objectives.
• Mostly takes direction from cross-functional team members/leaders to execute support actions for the cross-functional team.
• Must be an excellent communicator.
• Must have excellent computer skills (Power-Point, Excel and statistical software tools).
