Job summary

Blue Canyon Technologies in Boulder, CO or Lafayette, CO is seeking a Principal Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across multiple product lines and shape long-range plans.

You will lead capture efforts, manage customer engagements, and collaborate with marketing, product lines, and finance to develop competitive proposals. Expect about 25% travel and a role that combines leadership with hands-on deal-structuring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 13+ years of relevant experience.
• Has fundamental understanding and shows a genuine motivation and curiosity for the aerospace/space industry at large
• Proficient working on interdisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical and software engineers.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and willingness to share and transfer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Strategic growth and new business across multiple product lines.
• Create, manage, and lead capture plans for future business and strategic partnerships.
• Respond in a timely manner to customer inquiries and RFIs/RFPs with support from the product line teams.
• Demonstrated experience with customer engagement through existing and new network connections and ability to grow new business opportunities.
• Maintain CRM for emerging and near-term contracts.
• Determine Price to Win (PTW) and collaborate on pricing strategies with stakeholders.
• Help estimate and adhere to internal budgets for New Business Investments, conferences, and marketing materials.
• Evaluate industry trends and provide actionable recommendations to management.
• Contribute to Long Range Plan forecasting with product line managers and finance.
• Support transition of new contracts with product and functional teams for smooth hand-off.
• Use market data to inform product roadmaps and collaborate on marketing materials.
