Job summary

Checkmate is seeking a Sr AE to own a full-cycle, outbound-driven sale into high-growth ecommerce brands, primarily Shopify. You will source pipeline, run demos, build ROI cases, and close multi-call deals.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years quota-bearing experience in DTC/ecommerce, plus deep knowledge of CAC/LTV/ROAS and tools like Shopify, Klaviyo, Attentive, and Meta. Join a remote-first team with HQs in LA/NYC and strong growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years carrying a quota in ecommerce or DTC brands.
• Experience closing full-cycle deals for a platform, software, or adtech product.
• Deep fluency in DTC economics (CAC, LTV, ROAS) and the stack brands run on (Shopify, Klaviyo, Attentive, Meta).
• Credibility to speak with CMOs or VPs of Growth on acquisition, retention, and promo strategy.

Responsibilities

• Build your own pipeline through outbound, partners, events, and network.
• Run discovery and demos, build ROI cases around incremental revenue.
• Close deals in a handful of calls, usually with senior buyers.
• Sell the full product line and help shape the pitch as new products launch.
• Support onboarding and identify expansion opportunities via performance data.
• Keep pipeline and forecasts clean in HubSpot.
• Provide product feedback based on customer needs.
