Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Senior Advisor, Transmission Strategy and Regulatory Engagement in Hartford, CT. Under minimal supervision, you will review analyses of proposed transmission investments, develop and submit data, reports, and compliance filings to ISO New England and regulators, and represent Eversource in forums.

Strong communication and regulatory experience are essential. Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of related experience and advanced degrees in engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred.
• Master’s degree in engineering preferred.
• 5–8 years of related experience.
• Experience testifying in state or federal regulatory proceedings helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in key regional transmission planning efforts and interprets results for strategic insights.
• Reviews engineering studies and analyzes proposals, interpreting results for guidance.
• Analyzes federal, regional, and state policy proposals for impact on Eversource and customers.
• Develops policy positions and achieves consensus with internal stakeholders on strategy.
• Creates analytical products, visualizations, research, and advocacy materials to support recommendations.
• Represents Eversource on regional and national advisory committees; may serve as expert witness in regulatory proceedings.
