Job summary

Eversource Energy seeks a Senior Analyst, Strategy and Economic Analysis to support Transmission and fuel the clean energy transition in New England. You will develop and run energy market simulations, analyze results, and contribute to policy-driven initiatives with engineers and analysts.

Candidates should have 5–8 years of experience in energy market analysis or transmission planning and a strong command of ISO-NE markets, Excel, and data tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Environmental Science, or four years of equivalent experience.
• Five to eight years related experience in energy market analysis, transmission planning, or related fields.
• Experience or knowledge of ISO-NE wholesale markets or transmission planning procedures.
• Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, troubleshoot, document, and maintain zonal and nodal energy market and capacity expansion models in PLEXOS, including data preprocessing and results post-processing.
• Analyze, graph, and document results of energy market simulations.
• Research and analyze policies impacting Eversource's transmission business and modeling assumptions.
• Support other groups by providing data, simulation outputs, or knowledge from the transmission domain.
