Job summary

Eversource Energy in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Engineer, ISO Policy and Economic Analysis, Transmission to perform engineering and economic analyses for the clean energy transition in New England. The role involves modeling the electricity sector, reviewing filings, and presenting findings to NEPOOL and ISO-NE.

Responsibilities include policy analysis, developing analytical products, and potentially serving as an expert witness in regulatory proceedings.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; Master’s preferred.
5–8 years of related experience; experience testifying in regulatory proceedings is helpful.
PLEXOS experience strongly preferred; familiarity with ISO/RTO processes and wholesale markets.

Responsibilities

Performs power flow, capacity expansion, production cost, and probabilistic modeling analyses for the New England system.
Provides SME guidance to procurement evaluation teams on transmission network and interconnection issues.
Analyzes federal, regional, and state policy proposals for impact on customers and the company.
Develops analytical products, visualizations, and advocacy materials to support policy recommendations.
Leads teams to reach consensus on strategy and supports external stakeholder outreach.
