Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Senior Engineer for ISO Policy and Economic Analysis, Transmission, to perform transmission engineering and economic analyses of the clean energy transition in New England.

Under minimal supervision, you will prepare data, reports, presentations, and compliance filings regarding Eversource transmission projects to ISO New England and serve as a transmission engineering subject matter expert in state, regional, and federal forums.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
• 5–8 years of related experience is preferred.
• PLEXOS experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to perform engineering and economic analyses with industry tools.
• Understanding of ISO/RTO processes and wholesale electricity markets.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of the New England transmission grid is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform transmission engineering and economic analyses of the New England system.
• Prepare data, reports, presentations, and filings for ISO New England.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in state, regional, and federal forums.
• Model the electricity sector and transmission grid; assess interconnections and project impacts.
• Lead data collection, reporting improvements, and stakeholder outreach.
