Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead multiple NPDI-driven initiatives at the Pelzer site, coordinating with Design Engineering and Operations to align manufacturing plans with roadmaps. The role emphasizes cross-site transfers, prototype builds, and capital project support to standardize processes across Vertiv plants.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSME/IE/Business Operations Management and 3-5 years manufacturing experience or equivalent
• Preferred MSME/IE/MBA and 5+ years of Advanced Manufacturing experience
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Line of Business Leaders to ensure manufacturing plans are aligned to Product Roadmaps.
• Responsible for End of Line Testing Equipment, Parameters, scripts and Capex associated
• Lead, Develop and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products according to NPDI program
• Lead and Provide direct support for plant-to-plant product transfers and new product development programs.
• Support Vertiv manufacturing operations using standard processes, equipment, and manufacturing methods.
• Identify, justify, pilot, and commission Advanced Manufacturing technologies, processes, equipment, and practices.
• Provide support for manufactured cost analyses of new and existing products.
• Responsible for the execution of Manufacturing Readiness Checklist and deliverables of NPDI Process
• Leader for Manufacturing Prototype builds along with the local operation team to achieve 2 weeks LT
• Accountable and Supportive Role for Engineering Prototype builds with Design Engineering
• Actively intervenes in growth strategies for assigned BU, footprint and technical capacity definition
• Implement best manufacturing practices for existing processes and provide multi-site manufacturing engineering support.
• Assist with business-critical capital projects including facility planning, layout, and cost justification.
