Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, SC is seeking a Manufacturing Support Engineer to provide technical and operational support across production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams.

You will drive process improvements, optimize equipment, support NPI, and ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in lean manufacturing, process optimization and quality control.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; Lean/Six Sigma preferred.
• Knowledge of automation and robotics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improve manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost and quality.
• Develop and maintain production plans and schedules.
• Oversee maintenance and optimization of equipment and machinery.
• Establish quality control measures and conduct inspections and tests.
• Analyze costs and implement cost reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate on new product introduction and DFM/ DFA input.
• Maintain process documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Provide training and support to production personnel.
• Lead or participate in manufacturing projects with timelines and budgets.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean and Six Sigma methods.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality.
