Centene Corporation is seeking an experienced actuary to support the Actuarial Valuation Team in analysis, pricing and risk assessment. Requires ASA (or FSA) with 5+ years’ actuarial experience; strong Excel and SQL/Python/Power BI skills. Fully remote within the continental U.S.

with tight monthly timelines. The role involves projecting liabilities for IBNR, communicating results to health plans, and supporting NAIC opinions while collaborating across departments.

Competenze

• 5+ years actuarial experience with ASA or 4+ years with FSA required.
• MAAA membership preferred.
• Healthcare/valuation actuarial experience advantageous.
• Experience with IBNR and NAIC actuarial opinions preferred.
• Strong Excel skills (VBA, PivotTables) and SQL/Python/Power BI knowledge.

Mansioni

• Estimate liabilities for claims incurred but not paid.
• Communicate financial results to health plans and internal stakeholders.
• Support NAIC actuarial opinion process.
• Apply mathematics, probability and finance to forecast outcomes.
• Develop probability tables from data analyses.
• Review plans and calculate premium rates.
• Ensure reserves and liabilities cover future benefits.
• Contribute to merger and acquisition analyses.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
