Job summary

Fetch, Inc. is seeking a Senior Actuary (Predictive Modeling) to drive pricing and profitability for pet insurance products. You will shape the organization’s predictive analytics, pricing standards, and monitoring tools while guiding a small actuarial team.

You will own rate filings, regulatory responses, and special pricing projects, partnering with product, underwriting, marketing and IT to deliver growth and value.

Qualifications

• FCAS designation or career ACAS is required.
• 7+ years actuarial or data science experience in P&C or Health insurance.
• 4+ years in ratemaking/pricing modeling.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL is required.
• Strong knowledge of R and/or Python is required.
• Excel proficiency at an intermediate level.
• Advanced knowledge of GLMs is required.
• Elastic net GLMs, clustering and geospatial statistics desirable.
• Ability to review data for quality, completeness and reasonableness.
• SERFF filings experience a plus.
• Comfort with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude, Copilot, Gemini).
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication; team player.
• Ability to innovate and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead price elasticity and lifetime value modeling to forecast retention and value.
• Forecast policyholder conversion/retention based on pricing and initiatives.
• Advance risk segmentation using GLMs and predictive modeling techniques.
• Design tools to monitor rating plan performance, loss ratios and churn.
• Write SQL procedures to pull data from large veterinary bill databases.
• Quantify impact of coverage and product changes on pricing.
• Lead pricing proposals, rate filings, and regulatory responses.
• Stay current on competitor filings and market pricing standings.
• Collaborate with product, underwriting, marketing, BI and IT.
