Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in San Francisco, CA, seeks an Associate, Client Accounting (Accounts Payable) to manage core AP functions in a multi-entity environment. This hybrid role offers 3 days onsite and 2 days remote with a base salary in the six-figure range plus a bonus.

You will review invoices, code to GL accounts, process payments, and support reconciliations. Strong Excel skills and ERP experience are valued. A BA/BS in Accounting is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on accounts payable experience in a complex, multi-entity environment.
• Experience with invoice coding, GL allocations, and payment processing.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to research discrepancies and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable activities including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payments.
• Code invoices to GL accounts and entities accurately.
• Allocate expenses across entities, departments, and projects.
• Prepare payment batches and assist with wire transfers.
• Research discrepancies and resolve payment issues independently.
• Maintain AP records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with reconciliations, reporting, and GL activity.
• Prepare Excel payment summaries for management review.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure timely AP processing.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP workflows and controls.
