Job summary

Inteplast Group is seeking a Sr. Accounting Clerk to perform the general duties of accounts payable in a typical Illinois office environment. The role involves matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving receipts, processing vendor invoices for payment, and weekly check runs.

The position requires experience with AS400, Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel), and strong communication skills. Candidates should be able to work independently or in a team, and maintain dependable attendance

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts payable.
• Good communication skills both inter-office and customer base.
• Computer experience working with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
• Experience preferred in AS400.
• Ability to work both independently and on a team.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: Match vendor invoice to purchase order and receiving receipt.
• Process vendor invoices for payment.
• Prepare and run checks weekly.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
