Job summary

Mozilla.org is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to steward accounting across Mozilla.org and related subsidiaries. You will lead multi‑entity accounting, financial close, treasury management, and tax coordination, ensuring accurate controls for nonprofit and for‑profit entities.

The role demands hands‑on expertise across diverse accounting regimes, strong judgment, and the ability to scale processes as the organization grows. Collaboration with Finance leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience across nonprofit and for‑profit entities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and complex accounting processes.
• Experience supporting multiple legal entities and complex structures.

Responsibilities

• Own daily accounting for three entities, including journal entries and inter‑company entries.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accurate reporting.
• Maintain GL integrity and shared chart of accounts.
• Coordinate payroll information with HR for accurate financials.
• Prepare financial statements, schedules, and management reporting.
• Oversee inter‑company accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations.
