Job summary

Mozilla is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to own multi-entity accounting, close cycles, and financial reporting across Mozilla.org and related subsidiaries. You will manage treasury, tax coordination, audits, and robust internal controls, reporting to the Head of Finance.

The role requires strong nonprofit and for-profit accounting expertise, cross-entity collaboration, and the ability to scale processes as the organization grows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience across nonprofit and for-profit entities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and complex accounting processes.
• Experience supporting multiple legal entities or complex organizational structures.
• Experience with treasury, cash flow, tax compliance, annual audits, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical skills and independent issue resolution.
• Solid systems and spreadsheet skills with a drive to automate processes.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with Finance leadership and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Own daily accounting in the general ledger for three entities with accurate postings.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting.
• Maintain ledger integrity and shared chart of accounts.
• Collaborate with HR on payroll and benefits financials.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for leadership.
• Handle inter-company accounting and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper accounting for grants, investments, fixed assets, and allocations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and governance reporting.
• Oversee treasury, tax compliance coordination, and audits.
• Maintain internal controls and document accounting policies.
