Job summary

Global Citizen is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead multi-entity accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting across domestic and international entities. You will report to the VP of Finance & Operations and own the integrity of the general ledger and financial statements.

This hands-on role focuses on the general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and close processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and nonprofit standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting with general ledger, close, and consolidated statements.
• Strong nonprofit accounting knowledge and US GAAP.
• Experience leading multi-entity consolidation and intercompany processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Sage Intacct or similar ERP.

Responsibilities

• Own global consolidation and financial reporting for domestic and international entities.
• Manage intercompany accounting, currency considerations, and elimination entries.
• Drive month-end and year-end close from transaction level to consolidated statements.
• Lead external audits and IRS Form 990 support; ensure audit-ready documentation.
• Maintain chart of accounts, policies, and internal controls; leverage AI tools to improve processes.
