Job summary

Senior Services of America seeks an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations for multiple senior living communities and Home Office entities. This hands-on leader balances technical accounting, team leadership, and strategic financial support.

The role focuses on accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient month-end processes across diverse entities, with collaboration across ownership groups and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience and strong general ledger skills.
• Experience leading or coaching accounting teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and financial reporting for multiple entities.
• Review GL activity, reconciliations, journal entries, and statements.
• Support treasury, cash forecasting, banking activities, and analyses.
• Partner with operations leaders, auditors, and Home Office departments.
• Provide guidance, training, and workflow support to accounting staff.
• Assist with audits, tax support, compliance reporting, and process improvements.
• Strengthen internal controls, documentation, automation, and best practices.
