Job summary

Michigan Paving and Materials, a CRH Company, seeks a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the Business Unit accounting team and partner with the BU Controller. You will oversee financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, internal controls, and audit support.

You will collaborate with operations, FP&A, and the Canton Office to enhance accounting processes, drive improvements, and mentor accounting talent across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or controllership experience.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, and technical accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting activities, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Review financial statements and analyses for accuracy and completeness.
• Partner with operations to ensure timely, accurate results and support budgeting/forecasting.
• Provide guidance on GAAP, controls, and audits; support SOX compliance and governance.
• Coach and develop the accounting team and drive process improvements.
