SpectrumCareers is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing wealth management and financial services organization in Washington, DC. The role focuses on overseeing accounting operations, month-end close, financial statement preparation, and maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, analytical skills, and experience in financial services or investment management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in wealth management, financial services, or investment management preferred.
• Strong GAAP, financial reporting, GL accounting, and reconciliations.
• Experience with month-end close, financial statements, and audit support.

Responsabilités

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with journals, reconciliations, and GL maintenance.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and schedules for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee cash reconciliations, expense allocations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other accounting activities.
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances to provide insights to management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning as needed.
• Assist with accounting for investment-related transactions and advisory revenue.
