Job summary

SpectrumCareers is partnering with a high-growth technology company seeking a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to join their expanding finance team in a hybrid DC-area role. The position targets a candidate with Big 4 audit experience transitioning into an operational accounting capacity within industry.

The role covers month-end close, journal entries, technical accounting, and SOX/compliance, with cross-functional collaboration across FP&A and leadership.

Qualifications

• 3–8+ years of experience (Big 4 audit strongly preferred).
• CPA required or in progress.
• Experience with technology/SaaS clients a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Desire to move into a high-growth, visible industry role.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close.
• Prepare/review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support technical accounting matters (ASC 606, ASC 842, stock comp).
• Assist with audit coordination and SOX/internal controls.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A and leadership.
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements.
