Job summary
Frontline Wildfire Defense is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain the general ledger and manage reconciliations across multiple entities. The role reports to the Controller and supports bank and credit card reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting in a fast-growing, remote-friendly environment.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years of GL accounting experience, proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel/Sheets, and a strong eye for detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of accounting experience with strong GL background.
- Experience with bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Detail-oriented with ability to resolve discrepancies.
Responsibilities
- Own bank and credit card reconciliations for all accounts.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting docs.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy with journal entries.
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly.
- Perform month-end close tasks and produce work papers.
- Support AP/AR functions and cross-entity coding.
- Assist with audit readiness and external schedules.
- Identify process improvements for automation and efficiency.
