StevenDouglas is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a rapidly growing, publicly traded biotechnology company in Downtown Austin. You will engage in a high-performing finance team, contributing to GAAP reporting, close processes, and scalable controls. The role offers career growth within a dynamic public-company environment.

You will collaborate cross-functionally and support audits, with strong emphasis on accuracy, process improvement, and professional development in a fast-paced setting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
• CPA preferred; public-company SEC/SOX experience valued.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Proficient Excel and ERP/accounting system usage.

Responsabilidades

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and variances.
• Assist with financial statements and management reporting.
• Support public-company accounting and reporting requirements.
• Assist with audits and maintain documentation and controls.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and other teams.
• Identify process improvements for accounting and reporting.
• Assist with technical accounting and special projects as the company grows.
• Support scalable accounting process development and implementation.
