Steven Douglas is partnering with a publicly traded clinical-stage biotechnology company to recruit a Senior Accountant. This role will own key portions of the monthly close and act as the accounting partner to research, clinical, and manufacturing teams, ensuring trial and program costs are captured accurately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 3–4+ years of progressive accounting experience; public company experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and accounting policies.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; NetSuite a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own key parts of monthly close and journal entries.
• Build accrual and revenue models for clinical trial and manufacturing activity.
• Ensure expenses are charged to correct departments and projects.
• Prepare monthly close-related journal entries and reconciliations.
• Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis to management.
