Job summary

StevenDouglas in Austin, TX seeks a Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting to lead complex GAAP analyses, policy development, and public-company readiness.

You will partner with Finance, Legal, Ops and executives, build the technical accounting function, support IPO readiness, and manage external audits on a hybrid schedule with meaningful equity.

This leadership role requires CPA, 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, and manufacturing familiarity.

StevenDouglas has been exclusively engaged on an outstanding Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting career opportunity in Austin, Texas. Relocation assistance is available.

Reporting to the Controller, this individual will serve as the Company's technical accounting and financial reporting leader, acting as the primary resource for complex accounting matters and the accounting implications of new business initiatives. You will partner closely with Finance, FP&A, Legal, Operations, Engineering, executive leadership, external auditors, and outside consultants to support the Company's continued growth.

This role will establish and maintain the Company's accounting policy framework, prepare technical accounting analyses, support financial reporting and audit activities, drive public-company readiness initiatives, and build the technical accounting function from the ground up, with the opportunity to grow and lead that function as the Company scales.

Requirements:
