Job summary

StevenDouglas in Austin, TX seeks a Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting to lead complex GAAP analyses, policy development, and public-company readiness.

You will partner with Finance, Legal, Ops and executives, build the technical accounting function, support IPO readiness, and manage external audits on a hybrid schedule with meaningful equity.

This leadership role requires CPA, 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, and manufacturing familiarity.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or related industries.
• Experience supporting IPO readiness and SEC reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting policy framework and technical accounting analyses.
• Own financial reporting for the company and coordinate with auditors and external advisors.
• Drive public-company readiness initiatives and build the technical accounting function from the ground up.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Operations, Engineering and executives on complex accounting matters and new initiatives.
