Job summary

Burn Boot Camp seeks a Senior Accountant who will own full-cycle accounting for Burn Retail, LLC and Kline Franchising, LLC, with primary in-office work at our Cornelius, NC headquarters and flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

The role reports to the Controller and requires strong GAAP knowledge, multi-entity accounting, and inventory management. Candidates with 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience and an accounting degree are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close.
• Experience managing accounting for multiple entities or subsidiaries, including intercompany transactions, preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly full-cycle accounting for Burn Retail, LLC and Kline Franchising, LLC.
• Maintain inventory accounting and reconciliation for Burn Retail.
• Prepare schedules for audits, reviews, and internal reporting.
• Assist Controller on ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements.
• Support intercompany accounting and multi-entity reporting.
• Attend annual physical inventory counts (Dec) and coordinate with fulfillment centers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial data.
