Job summary

Outerknown is seeking a Senior Accountant for its hybrid role in Carlsbad, CA. The position reports to the Accounting Manager and oversees GL accounting, monthly close, and financial reporting while ensuring safeguarding of company assets.

You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals, coordinate with auditors, and support intercompany and FX activities. Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in accounting, strong Excel, and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 3–5+ years in a high-performance accounting team.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for inventory, intercompany, fx, leases, and other areas.
• Prepare accruals and estimates and close processes.
• Oversee commissions and royalty calculations and communications.
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Review and approve AR/AP/GL postings and reconcile discrepancies.
• Support audits with PBC schedules and inquiries.
• Improve month-end processes in collaboration with management.
