Employer.com is seeking a hands-on Corporate Accountant or Senior Corporate Accountant to own core accounting operations across the business and subsidiaries. You will manage accrual-based bookkeeping, month-end close, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

This role emphasizes internal controls, U.S. GAAP compliance, and collaboration with finance leadership to support mergers and acquisitions and future growth. Open to Accountant or Senior levels based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in accounting; Senior level considered for more experience.
• Strong hands-on accrual-based accounting and bookkeeping.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets; experience with QB, NetSuite, Xero.
• Able to interpret P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accrual-based bookkeeping and journal entries.
• Own month-end and quarter-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Prepare and post intercompany and subsidiary transactions.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and multi-entity records.
• Handle commissions, expenses, accruals, and other operational transactions.
• Prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Support accounting integrations related to mergers and acquisitions.
• Identify opportunities to streamline close processes and improve reporting.
• Partner with finance and risk teams to support needs.
• Assist with pro forma analyses and ad hoc accounting projects.
• Take ownership of processes during business transitions.
