Job summary

U.S. Xpress, Inc. seeks a results-driven Operations Supervisor to oversee driver performance for assigned accounts and resolve customer issues. You will drive safety-focused initiatives and optimize shipment planning to meet client needs while maintaining strong relationships across departments.

The role emphasizes reducing deadhead, improving service levels, and coordinating with drivers on CDL renewals and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Operations experience including Customer Service, Fleet Management, or Load Planning preferred.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, and/or supervisory roles is a plus.
• DOT regulations knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and develops all drivers for assigned accounts.
• Addresses customer service issues or complaints and all shipments to meet customer needs.
• Promotes safety metrics and KPIs for service pickup, deadhead, and weekly assignments.
• Coordinates with drivers on physicals, random drug screens, and CDL renewal deadlines.
• Uses systems such as AS400 and XPM to enhance productivity.
• Ensures high levels of service and builds strong relationships with customers.
