Job summary

K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to support Minneapolis area clients. You will perform advanced installation tasks, lead teams, configure and commission systems, and deliver client training on basic operations.

The role emphasizes leadership, coordination with project teams, and hands-on work with nurse call, CCTV, and access control systems. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in construction trades, strong electrical knowledge, and experience with networking and IT

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
• Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP).
• Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling.
• Working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing.
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Team management/supervisor experience.
• Experience with service ticketing processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute all Level I installer roles and responsibilities following documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational skills for project and service tickets with prompt updates.
• Understand project scopes and service expectations; take accountability for tasks.
• Lead and delegate tasks within the team to foster growth and productivity.
• Mentor Level 1 installers and solicit feedback for improvement.
• Maintain communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
• Work with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems.
• Pursue leadership and communication skill development.
• Perform FAT testing of products before installation.
• Configure systems and commission them to deliver reliable, fully operational solutions.
• Take on additional duties as needed.
